These black oxide coated rod ends offer superior load ratings over carbon steel two-piece rod ends & are available as metal to metal or PTFE lined. QA1’s 2-piece economy style rod end, commonly referred to as a mohawk design, has only two components:the ball & the body. The body is swaged around the ball on each side to lock it in, & then loosened. This style is generally very economical & is commonly used in light duty applications.
