As a firm favorite among off-grid users, Wagon Tech’s ProLine series of power inverters has received quite a makeover. Starting from the ground up, the new 8,000-Watt inverter got a new SMT circuit board, a glossy exterior coating on a smaller casing, and a massive weight reduction. New Wagon Tech Pro Line Inverters; Proving that even the best can be better. New SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards provide greater reliability, better efficiency and lower stray RF emissions compared to older PCB (printed circuit boards) and through-hole boards. From there the case size was reduced by approximately 54 Percent from the original, and the overall weight was reduced by 52 Percent. This makes for an efficient, reliable, beautiful and lightweight 8,000 Watt inverter in a more compact size. Beneath the shiny new exterior, you’ll find the aforementioned SMT circuit board and a powerful cooling fan. On the front of the Proline 8,000 Watt Inverter you’ll find a manually operated power switch (on/off) as well as a jack for a remote power switch. The rear of the ProLine 8,000 Watt Inverter features a massive cooling fan, heavy duty solid mount positive (red) terminal, heavy duty solid mount negative (black) terminal, and a ground-neutral bond stud with wing. nut. Both terminals are now heavy duty solder mount and come straight out of the case to simplify connections and avoid the inevitable 90 Degree bends made by cables on conventional inverters; Creating unnecessary stress and making relationships difficult. Large cooling fans are used to help keep the inverter cool and operate efficiently.
